This bill was brought due to numerous complaints about in-state movers. In working with the movers’ trade group, I learned that two-thirds of the complaints arise out of only three moving companies. The trade group would also like to strengthen the laws governing in-state moves; we have agreed on several key principles and will work together to bring back a stronger bill next year.
