Here at the Capitol it’s been a very busy couple of weeks, both for the House in general and for me in particular.

Last week we debated for some very long and lively hours over the “long bill,” the state’s annual budget bill that ultimately passed in the House. Today the Senate gave final approval of this bill, which makes critical investments in education, health care and economic development.

This week we are introducing late bills as we head into the final month of the 2008 legislative session.

Mark your calendars for the annual Doors Open Denver, a free event that allows you to go behind the scenes of Denver’s architectural gems and lesser-known treasures. It takes place April 12-13.
