House District 3

Representative Anne McGihon
Make a Financial Contribution

Dear Friends,

During this legislative session I'm asking for your financial support to assist me to meet the costs of running an effective legislative office, to communicate with you, my constituents, and to help cover my basic administrative expenses at the capitol. I truly appreciate your financial support.

Colorado law has specific guidelines for contributions, both during a campaign and during the regular term for officeholders in the General Assembly. Please review the information below to ensure you conform to state and federal campaign finance laws.

Officeholders may accept contributions from individuals at any time. The law forbids a candidate or an officeholder from accepting direct or indirect contributions from corporations or labor organizations.

There is a provision in the law that prohibits a lobbyist contribution to a member of the General Assembly during legislative sessions.

Colorado law specifically limits the amount of contributions at all times. Individuals may contribute a maximum of $200. Personal contributions may be accepted at any time that an elected official serves, unless the individual is a lobbyist.

Contributions made to an officeholder between election cycles are used for constituent mailings, surveys, part-time staff, or office supplies and expenses.

Colorado law requires that individual contributors who contribute $100 or more provide the recipient with their occupation and employer. Colorado law also requires that contributors be citizens of the United States.

You may make contributions either by check mailed to me or by credit card by using the online secure credit card transaction system.

Please make checks payable to Anne McGihon for State Representative and mail to my office. Small donations are gratefully accepted.

Thank you very much for your financial contributions in the past and your cooperation in making sure we meet the requirements of Colorado campaign finance laws.
